Mamanwa people is the "First Forest Dwellers"derive from the world "man"which mean first and "forest"means uncultivated areas or mountain. The Mamanwa peoples among the most disadvantaged and marginalized human beings on the Philippines.They are dominant people to find a place where have abundant foods. On other hand, they have rich culture,traditions and costums that makes them unique and holisticness.
However, the mamanwa tribes have made the victims of exploitation, and some are even on the verge of extinction after getting forced out of thier ancestral terrerories. The modern world has continued this pattern with the introductions of so-called economic development projects such as ellegal logging, ellegal fishing, eco-torrrism and mining corporation that have let to the massive displacement of the Mamanwa tribes. along with the rapidly vanishing of thier culture and identity.
Additionally,they sacrifice the different kinds of discrimination from the settlers and also the government. Discrimination is a major constraint to equality in the country. Often, it involves detrimental consequences for the leaders,family,youths and all members in the Mamanwa communities.
Therefore, because of thier struggles its made truma in thier individual personality to not migle to the other groups of people beacuse of discrimination fro avoiding conflicts.
